Hiring for Critical Positions in State Government

The following state agencies are hiring for various critical needs positions, some of which are directly related to the state’s novel coronavirus (COVID-19) response efforts. Others relate to the ability of individual agencies to provide critical services to the citizens or populations they serve.

South Carolina Department of Corrections 

Current positions include nurses, sergeants and lieutenants and mental health professionals.

South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control 

Current openings include supply specialists - COVID-19 Rapid Hire, supply managers - COVID-19 Rapid Hire, IT/Lab services specialists - COVID-19 Rapid Hire and nurses.

South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs 

Current openings include human services coordinators, nurses and mental health counselors.

South Carolina Department of Mental Health 

Current openings include human service coordinators, mental health counselors and nurses.

South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice
